MY PRIMARY SCHOOL
I attended International Language & Business Centre (ILBC) in Yangon, a private school for my primary
education. I had attended this school since I was in Kindergarden. It was a huge part of my life and
it still is now. My best friends have always been my friends from ILBC and we would meet up at least
once or twice a week. ILBC have made me the person I am today and I am really thankful for how the school
had affected my life. School term starts at June and ends at February. Half semester break would be on
October. This applies to all levels including Secondary levels.
SCHOOL LIFE
School was something I would look forward to during that time and it was fun going there. School would start
at 8:30 AM and end at 2:30 PM. A period lasts for 50 minutes and there would be a "Homeroom" every morning
for 30 minutes. Assembly is held once a week instead of Homeroom and the timeslot would be different
for every level. Our Assembly has a programme called "Word Of the Month" where a class would perform
an act or a play every Assembly. We have recess from 10:00 AM to 10:10 AM followed by a 30-minute lunch
break from 11:50 to 12:20. I used to play football during the break. At this point one might wonder when
I ate my lunch. Well, I ate it during the 10-minute break. Then I'd starve through the remaining two
periods after lunch until school is over when I can feast upon the snack stalls outside the school campus.
MY HOLIDAYS
During Primary School, there wouldn't be any stress for us until we reached Primary 6 as it was a turning
point for us where we would be divided into classes based on the results. Before I reached Primary 6,
I would go on vacations at least twice a year, be it local or overseas. I enjoyed going to places with
a water source such as the waterfall and the beach. Once, I went to summer school and it didn't turn
out to be a good experience. Normally, during vacations, we would invite our closest relatives to join
with us and our vacation would last at least 10 days. Once, we went to China via a car and it was one
of the most memorable experience I've ever had.
